Badger Meter

At a glance

Operating under a dated legacy CPQ solution and at the cusp of a new vendor acquisition, Badger Meter made the decision to overhaul its current Oracle instance to improve distributor channels and provide a better user experience.
Komatsu - the challenge

The Challenge

Legacy System: Badger Meter is a seven-year customer of Oracle CPQ, but was discussing leaving the platform due to being constantly stuck in maintenance mode, which was costing resources and time to keep up. Extension to Distributors: Badger Meter had recently acquired one of its distributors and was looking at options to better enable the utilization of the external distributor/partner channel. Poor Sales Experience: The company was also experiencing low user adoption and suboptimal internal perception due to an outdated user interface (UI) that was difficult and cumbersome to navigate.

Komatsu - The Outcome

The Outcome

Badger Meter made the decision to reinvest in the Oracle CPQ platform after seeing current system capabilities and a prebuilt functional solution that addressed the major user issues. During the engagement, we were able to reduce the Phase 1 project cost by $300,000 and the timeline by over three months by starting the project with our Simplus FastTrack solution. Additionally, we helped Badger Meter rebrand its Oracle CPQ solution internally, improving overall user adoption.
